Indiana University is proud to sponsor the Hoagy Carmichael Sculpture & Educational Tour through its Movable Feast of the Arts initiative.

The statewide tour showcases the invaluable contributions that composer/singer/actor Hoagy Carmichael made to American music, as well as the world’s first life-size bronze sculpture of Carmichael.

The tour is coordinated by the sculptor, Michael McAuley, to pay tribute to Carmichael, one of IU’s most respected alums. Both McAuley and Carmichael were born in Bloomington, Indiana, and received multiple degrees from IU. The statue is expected to reside on IU property after touring the state.
